Getting a job has never been easier

| 4:07 am

What’s the true importance of a high school diploma? Do you know of anyone who has actually had to show proof of their high school graduation in order to get a job in the regular world? Hell, many companies don’t even check the validity of college degrees. Don’t waste time getting that GED…just lie, you’ll save time. ;)

Never take a brave man for granted…

| 12:55 am

Kudos to Senator James Jeffords of Vermont for standing on his own two feet and telling the Republicans to kiss his ass. Sorry Dubbaya…looks like you’ll have to suck it up and deal with the enemy a lot more than you expected. Those of us ‘wussies’ who think energy conservation and alternative energy sources are good ideas are laughing our asses off right now. :)

Relief from an unexpected source!

May 1, 2001 | 9:55 pm

The miracles of modern medicine! All this time I was expecting one of those cutting edge cures…leech upon the ear lobe…gatorade with a mercury chaser…eye of toad, nail of p.diddy…you know, one of the time tested old mutha-hubbard/black plague cures. Who would have thought that a small sudafed tablet mixed with a nasonex nasal spray could do such wonders for a person’s ear problems. This is truly a miracle on the same level as the parting of the Hudson River by DiMaggio or the spreading of any woman’s legs by Abe Vigoda. I’m so stoked! I must present offerings of Michelob and Pork Grinds at the altar of Pesci at once!

New York Trip: Rocky Horror Live!

This should be a requirement for anyone who considers themselves even a once-in-blue-moon Rocky Horror fan. Instead of the crowd just yelling and throwing things at the screen, you have all that (at the stage & players at least) as well as the players coming into the crowd and interacting with you!

I’m not kidding folks. I had a front row seat and I got my hair tussled and face licked by two different cast members. Interestingly enough, I’d considered myself lucky…one guy two rows behind me got a face full of hot pumping crotch. ^o^ One group of women had their purses ’stolen’ by a cast member and placed on one of the large props for most of the show. If you have a seat in the first four rows (especially ones close to the steps), be prepared for something. If you’re in the first row, you have a pretty good chance that someone will mess with ya. :)

The show is everything you’d think a live Rocky Horror would be…slammin’ live band…the entire floor that the theatre is on is dressed up to look like the bowels of the ‘Horror’…specially hired fans to help the crowd yell out the appropriate things…a Rocky Horror kit bag full of all the things you need to participate (I love the boa!)…wonderfully baudy and funny…and a platinum blonde Rocky. :D

Special mentions for two of the players: Joan Jett does a fantastic job playing Columbia, bald head and all. She even breaks out her guitar and jams with the band! The other goes to the narrator, Dick Cavett…yes, Dick Cavett! This isn’t Dick Cavett playing the narrator…this is Dick Cavett taking over the part and turning it into his own. He does all the normal things the narrator is supposed to do, but he also chats about what’s on his mind at the time…George W got the brunt of his ammo when I was there. He also lets his hair down and chats with the crowd…so don’t be surprised if he tells you to fuck off or flips you the bird (I’m being completely serious). It’s hilarious!

DickCavett: What has brought me to this place?
CrowdMember: The cancellation of the Dick Cavett show! :D

I highly recommend you check out the show while it’s still in New York. The stage is rather complicated and something that couldn’t be easily replicated elsewhere. It’ll probably be toned down when it goes on tour…still enjoyable, but it can’t replace the atmosphere of the original theatre. Go see it now! ^_^
