What do I see before me?

September 25, 2001 | 8:52 pm

For lighter look at life, check this out: I saw my first UFO! ^_^
I was in the midst of one of my late night walk/jogs and I was enjoying the stars since it was a clear night. Then I came across some blinking lights. Now, I live in the path that many planes use when they’re arriving or exiting our local airport…far enough away so it’s not noisy at all and close enough so that you can see numerous planes a day. So, I thought the lights were coming from a plane at first…

However, the lights were much closer to the ground than the planes that usually fly overhead…and there was no noise, which would have been quite audible if a plane was flying that low. There were three blinking lights in a triangular formation moving at a slow uniform pace. The positioning of the lights didn’t look like any plane I’d ever seen at night. Suddenly a ‘WTF?’ feeling came over me. Am I actually seeing a UFO? It sure resembled some of the descriptions I’d heard before…

I got closer and closer…trying to make out any detail I could, as well as trying to contain my excitement. Eventually I could start to hear a low hum coming from it which I didn’t recognize (at first). And then I could start to make out a shape in the darkness. It was becoming clearer…becoming clearer…could it be…that is was…

…The Goodyear Blimp ^^;;;

Boy, did I feel stupid. ^^
Goodyear World HQ is in my area, so seeing the blimp is a semi-regular occurance. But I’d never seen it at night with almost all of its lights off. It does one impressive UFO imitation from a distance. :P

Get Thee To The Airport!

| 12:06 am

American people…Get back on the planes! The chances of something like 9/11 happening again so soon are so remote it’s laughable. You all said you want to get back to normal…flying the American skies is part of it. Get off your ass and do it.

A Hope For Things To Come…

September 16, 2001 | 8:58 pm

I need for everyone to take care of their fellow human being during upcoming war. In particular, take care of your fellow humans of Arab and/or Islamic descent. You know, all the millions and million of those who had absolutely nothing to do with WTC. You know, all those who are just as peaceful, honest and law abiding as the average Christian you saw today at Church. You know, your neighbor…your fireman…someone who’d try to help you in the blink of an eye.

While our military is overseas bombing whoever into their next incarnation, pay attention to what happens here in the states too. Watch the insanity as your fellow Americans of little control, small intelligence and high prejudice harass, assault and even kill other fellow Americans, just because they’re of Arab descent or because they practice Islam. Ask yourself if it disturbs you. I hope it does…I really do.

I have a very low tolerance for such neanderthalic nonsense. Waving an American flag outside of a Mosque in Chicago (or worse) shows that you’re on the same delusional path as the muthas who caused 9-11. Stop it and get some education!

Salute to the WWF!

| 12:02 am

Mega kudos to the people of the WWF! They were practically the only sports/entertainment company to have a clue this week. While all the others were cancelling this and that and leaving the American public, who needed a break from all of the week’s depression, with very little choice to entertain themselves, the WWF played on! They provided an entertaining two hours worth of escapist fun and the crowd loved every minute of it. Good choice, Vinny Mac.

A special shout out goes to WWF ring announcer Lilian Garcia who belted the best rendition of the Star Spangled Banner I’ve heard in years. Play on, Lilian! :)

Dueling Michaels

| 1:00 am

A request for the two Michaels:

Mr. Jordan: Don’t come back to basketball. You have absolutely nothing to prove. You’ve gone out on top twice now. There’s nothing guaranteeing that you’ll be able to do it again. Take a look at past champions that kept coming back. Eventually, they felt flat on their ass. Don’t do the same.

Mr. Jackson: Good luck on your current endeavor and enjoy your American swan song. I really do hope you can connect with the current generation, but I doubt you’ll be able to. You’re still doing the same damn moves you were doing twenty years ago and you haven’t grown much musically at all. BTW, put the plastic surgery knife down! You look like a fucking ghost. Someone had to tell you…

Sing us a song, Piano Lady

| 12:00 am

Two words: Alicia Keys

More words: Deft skill in manipulating those 88s as well as the vocal R&B stream encased within a sweet honey coated piece-o-fine-ass…

Two final words: OH YEAH ^_^
