Salute to the WWF!
September 16, 2001 | 12:02 amMega kudos to the people of the WWF! They were practically the only sports/entertainment company to have a clue this week. While all the others were cancelling this and that and leaving the American public, who needed a break from all of the week’s depression, with very little choice to entertain themselves, the WWF played on! They provided an entertaining two hours worth of escapist fun and the crowd loved every minute of it. Good choice, Vinny Mac.
A special shout out goes to WWF ring announcer Lilian Garcia who belted the best rendition of the Star Spangled Banner I’ve heard in years. Play on, Lilian! :)
