December 6, 2003 | 6:11 amLet’s give a big gas face for the decision to stop sending out advanced DVDs screeners of films so the Academy members can view them. Congratulations for killing off much of the chance for independent films to win any of the big awards. When a film makes it to the internet even before those DVDs are released, you have much more of an internal problem…which you don’t seem to want to address. When you’re done sucking off of movie industry’s teat, please let us know, Jack Valenti.
On a much less depressing note, the theatrical season finished up for me, so I get to present my top movies of ze year! No gold awards for the winners, but your bowtied large bottle of hot sauce will be in the mail on Monday…
