Since electors don’t actually have to follow the rules and can vote whomever they want, before the next election, I think certain like-minded individuals should push for a man who has long deserved to be in a position of true power. A man who could affect major change throughout the world. A man funny enough to give the electors another reason to skirt their civic duty….

A “machine error” in Columbus, Ohio gave Bush an extra 3,893 votes. Might not have been noticed initially, but when only 638 people casted ballots in that precinct, it couldn’t be washed over.

Anyone else interested in checking the other electronic voting machines used? Ah…that’s right. The vast majority have no way to be audited properly…

Here’s hoping the assorted city/state officials, who blindly accepted non-audtiable electronic voting machines, have lost or will lose their jobs in the near future…

I consider myself lucky…it was only a 5 minute wait to get my ballot, but that’s 5 times as long as usual. The other precinct that was voting there was a different matter…there were 50-60 people in line at 9 a.m., which is rather unprecedented according to the local poll workers. But both pale in comparison to the hours and hours of waiting that some people are experiencing.

As for the challenger, the one at my table was intensely interested in watching me sign my name. Very irritating…I almost messed up my signature just as a dare. Had two forms of identification and my phone bill with me just in case…

I’d like to give megakudos to George Bush and his administration. Nothing brings out the populate in droves who are willing to stand in the rain for hours to vote…like the fear of getting four more years of incompetence, ineptitude, over-arrogance and unnecessarily enhanced danger. Bravo W, bravo!

My apologies for not being at home when you called. Needless to say I was stunned when I listened to your message.

At first I didn’t think it was you…a moment similar to when I saw Jesse Jackson read “Green Eggs and Ham” on SNL…just couldn’t believe your eyes (or in this case ears) at first. But a few additional seconds into your message and that southern drawl removed all doubt as to your true indentity.

While I was glad to hear about you being back on the campaign trail for your party and for JK, I really wish you had spoken on the topic that’s truely burning in your belly. Doing stump work here and there for the Dems is fine and dandy, but soon all of this will really be behind you and you should get used to it.

So, yes, Mr. Clinton. I am voting for your man…it was a rough decision…flipping back and forth. But the kind of dedication you put into the campaign, right in the midst of your surgery recovery, has inspired me to break my internal political tie.

So while you start your quest to become President of the world, please remember the little people down here that helped make your future godhood possible. And for the love of Buddah, if you must swing yo thing again, find someone with more restraint…or offer to pay her cleaning bills…

However…at this perfect moment in time…I wish I could hit half the state of Ohio over the smegging head! We have such ‘even’ differences in our thoughts and beliefs that it has once again made us a battleground state. And not just a regular state…a state being referred to as the next ‘Florida’….:(

What does that mean for us? It means the political armies have two hands up our collective asses and are not only deciding where in our colons the big screen TV would look best, but have hidden away their stash of porno under some leftover undigested red meat.

We’ve been getting a face full of obnoxious television ads from both sides (as well as their associate lackey groups) for a ridiculous number of months. Who said the main election season could start 10 months early? How many people really give a shite about how ‘Troubling’ someone is smack dab in the middle of winter when they’re more concerned about their heating bills than who gets to play emperor next year.

And now we have the lead pipe that shattered the camels back! I come home from work everyday and have no less than 4 political related calls on my answering machine, from all sides:

“Who will you vote for in the next election? And how strongly do you feel about…”

“…and I’m sure you know that for a better America, we need a candidate with strong, traditional family values….”

“You know, protecting the institution of marriage is an important matter in these trying times…”

“….has been censured two times in two weeks and we need your support to help remove him from office….”

“…have your long distance rates cut in half when you switch to XBC, a Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles company…”

Damn! DamN! DAMN!

In addition to these voting machines not having any paper trail (one crash and poof…thousands of votes gone…or one program alteration and…), but the CEO of the company is a staunch Bush supporter and has actually said mentioned delivering electoral votes to the President….

Frankly, it’s more than unnerving. I never understood why the machines have to be connected to internet in the first place. Just have people vote on them…gather up the machines and take ‘em down to the board of elections for tabulation. Whammo! No hackers (other than the ones at the board) need apply.

For Bush: When he referred to Kerry as ‘Senator Kennedy’. It went by quickly, but I’m sure it’ll be replayed for a while…very amusing. Kinda wished JK had figured out a way to use it…

For Kerry: When he mentioned a timber company paying Bush $84 in reference to small business. I agree with you, GW…what on earth are you talking about, JK? ^o^ Very odd comment…

[Addendum - 3 hours later: Seems that $84 dollar comment is actually true. Still an odd moment, but points to JK on that one...]
